  Hi - I'm new here!

  i have been lurking on this site for the past 2 months.

  for the past few years i have been going to the meetings and doing fieldservice out of guilt.. my husband (twisty) told me regularly i only do it out of guilt but i denied it and said it i want to do these things because i love jehovah and it is the right thing to do, but how can it be the right thing if you don't feel welcome and it feels like everyone is judging you the moment you walk into the kingdom hall.. it has taken a few years and a lot of tears to open my eyes.. over the past few years twisty spoke to me about the various things he didn't agree with but it just went over my head.

  a few months ago we were lying in bed and he brought up his concerns again, and i'm not sure what was different this time but i understood and agreed with the points he was making.

  something is common to all on this discussion board, we are quick at castigating the watchtower.

  although, i understand your reasons for doing so, but i will warn you not to be guilt of the same offense the wt had committed.

  here on this forum there are so many sinners, many here are doing things that will bring god's wrath upon themselves.

  consider yourself if you in some aspect fit the description in romans 1:28-32:.

  and just as they did not approve of holding god in accurate knowledge, god gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting, filled as they were with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, badness, being full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malicious disposition, being whisperers, backbiters, haters of god, insolent, haughty, self-assuming, inventors of injurious things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, false to agreements, having no natural affection, merciless.

  My parents moved to sweden in the 1940:s from the swedish part outside Vasa, malax.

  So they never learned finnish, neither do i.

  omkt/omktstefan wallin, minister of defence print thisthe exemption from the obligation of military service granted to the jehovahs witnesses is unfair, and should be abolished, minister of defence stefan wallin (swedish peoples party) told the finnish commercial television channel mtv3 on wednesday.. in wallins opinion, the jehovahs witnesses could perform a non-military national service in their congregations.. .

  jehovahs witnesses, who refuse to take part in the military service or any of its non-military alternatives (siviilipalvelus, see link below) for reasons of conscience, were exempted from the compulsory national service in 1987. well the jw's in sweeden better get used to having to comply with this very soon then.

  Actually, this is not in sweden. It is in Finland, the country neighbour to sweden.
  Due to history there are big part of the finnish people that actually talk swedish.
  This is a party for those.

  In sweden:
  For 30 years ago tho.. there could be talk of prison when refused to service.

  Nowadays in sweden the military are at minimum with almost no military service engagion at all for people (men).
  I dont think that the government demands partification at all for now!?

  Born in... well i was 4.
  As baptised JW i was active for about 18 years.
  Faded away a few years ago, actually before i discovered that all of it was a lie.
  Now agnostic.

  Don't rush anything.

  The worst thing you can do is let your doubts explode in front of your family and friends.

  Stick around. Read. Learn. Make a plan.

  Don't do anything different until you are happy with that plan.

  If prayers work.. why do we have Cancer still on earth!?

  How many Billions of people have beg to god to take avay the pain from the loved ones?

  How many Billions billoins people had suffer the loss from a loved one died in Cancer?

  There are 2 possibillities as i see it:

  1: there is apperently no god that can listen to us humans.

  2: There is a god that listen, but he enjoy to see us humans beeing tortured to death and leaves the relatives devestated...

  Either way... NO way that i shall EVER! pray to that kind of a god... EVER!
